Symptoms of Imbalanced Gut Bacteria

Posted by Ruby Tequin on

Every now and then, more and more studies are revealing the connection between our health and the bacteria in our gut. These studies show how good bacteria contribute to our overall health.

Just like humans and other mammals, our pets need gut bacteria too. As pet parents, it is our duty to keep these good bacteria in check. However, maintaining a balanced amount of good bacteria is not easy as checking whether our pet has a fever or not. And it requires sharp eyes and patience to do it.

Thankfully, there are common warning signs that tip us off about something might be wrong. Bring your furry friends to the vet when they exhibit the following symptoms:

Unusual/Excessive Gas
Diarrhea
Itchy skin
Lethargy
Behavioral problems
Anxiety
Bad breath
Poor coat quality (Skin itches, etc)
Eye tear staining
