Stop Giving These Items to Your Pets

Posted by Ruby Tequin on

The gut, also called as the digestive system, is a major part of their immune system. It plays a vital role in turning your pet's food into a nutritive substance which their body can absorb. When foods are not broken down properly, nutrients are not absorbed--leaving your pets malnourished.

As pet owners, it is our sworn duty to our pets to make sure they grow healthy and live their happiest days.  However, with all the best intention in mind, we unknowingly put their health on the line by doing things that we didn't know are detrimental to them. For instance, we give our pets certain foods that may seem harmless to us but can be dangerous to them. Some of these are:

  • Fish, poultry, or meat bones
  • Fatty pieces of meat
  • Baby food
  • Chocolate
  • Coffee or tea
  • Calcium supplements
  • Raisins or grapes
  • Dairy products
  • Garlic or onions
  • Vitamin/mineral supplements meant for humans
