Dogs With Sensitive Gut

Posted by Ruby Tequin on

Not all dogs are created equally. Some dogs can eat almost anything without any problem. While some dogs can be easily irritated by foods that may seem to be harmless to others.

According to PetMD, we can easily tell if our dog has sensitive stomachs. Its symptoms can be easily examined and quickly reversed through proper diet. Some of the common symptoms include:

  • Intermittent loose stools
  • Occasional vomiting
  • Excessive flatulence
If you suspect your dog has a sensitive stomach, one way to alleviate the symptoms is by simplifying their diet. First, avoid unnecessary foods and keep them away from human foods and trash scraps. If the symptoms still persist, pay attention to your dog's food. High-quality dog foods contain soluble fiber that promotes digestive health (such as beet pulp). Avoid too much fat and opt for high-protein diet as it is easier to digest than fats. For added value, you can also add foods that are rich in vitamins A, C, and E, beta carotene, and selenium to give your pet a digestive boost.
